Hearty Galley Restaurant in Westport

The shakes were excellent. The experience and service before getting the food was horrible. The staff couldn't figure out what food belonged to whom. After one patron had touched the food, seen it wasn't theirs, it was then passed off to the correct customer. This was done to me with a chocolate shake after another customer had been handed the shake, he opened it looked inside, and declined it. It was brought inside, and handed to me. Not only is this disgusting but a health hazard. I respectfully asked for another.I was hesitant to eat the food I was given and will never return to eat there again.

Omg, that was the best steak sandwich I've ever had!! And, the girl that was working was an absolute sweetheart on top of making some great food! I will definitely be stopping there again...even if I'm not hungry bc it was just that good.

A very friendly place that serves good good with a smile.

My wife and I walked in at the tail end of a big breakfast order but it was the only place open when we got downtown. We got coffee and drinks as we sat down and gave our order. I think the Galley was having some staffing issues on our visit. While it took a half-hour to receive our food, when we got it, it was hot, fresh, and delicious. I'm sure that HG was just experiencing a service lull and you should give them a try.

Very good taste of the food, the lady who attending us was very polite.Very good service, the dine in is not ooen but they offer us a nice table outside what we enjoy.100% good

Clean, staff was friendly, we were lucky it wasn't crazy busy. The Marvel Universe drinking glasses were a clever touch. I don't eat much fried food, but my basket was done flaky fish perfect. I asked for both sauces, the cocktail sauce was the best I have yet tasted, the tarter sauce needs to be amped giving you a final score of 4.999 :)

Staff is very friendly & helpful me & wife always stop there when we are in town i always get the monster burger & my wife gets the oysters

While small it's good. Fish was good and salad very fresh. Not too expensive be for Westport either.

Yummy burgers!! Great shakes!! The owners though don't care about customers eating while they unload product bringing in front door. Prefer to eat outside!

Food is soooo good! Orders take a little time, so I like to call in my order. French fries are LEGIT.

Good food little pricey.

Loved it. Great breakfast, amazing pancakes, ham steaks, bacon and eggs. Coffee was about average but after camping tasted great. I really liked this spot as we had our dogs with us and there was a parking lot right across the street from the restaurant where I could keep an eye on them. Outside seating is also dog friendly. Hard to go wrong here!

Had the "chef's surprise" and I was glad I did. I was served a delicious chicken cordon bleu hoagie bun sandwich. Omg Yummy! I will definitely order this again.

Small restaurant, and if you want a fast bite, not the best place to go. They are not slow by any means, but they take the time to make everything fresh to order. Well worth the wait. This visit I got the clam strips again. Tasted great! My wife got her normal chili burger, which is highly recommended!

Super good, super fast.

Some restaurants look bad on the outside but are super good. This is not an example of it. Having to wait an hour for a burger and small shake wasn’t even the worst part the burger was so burnt it looked and tasted like a hockey puck. Also while sitting waiting for my food I over heard one of the workers who seems to be the manager Said to the a worker who dropped the lettuce on the floor “just rinse it off”..... I’m glad my burger didn’t have lettuce on it

Super long wait for service and food. Minimal seating. Food was decent, but very greasy. Was surprised to see the staff clearing tables and throwing food waste into garbage cans in the lobby. Seemed kind of gross to me. 3rd time I've been here.

Fun little place.. great ice cream and shake. Toys for sale are really cool... Looks like some yummy burgers. But the chicken strips were very tough. I will gladly go a second time and try some other menu items... So don't let my 3 stars stop you from going. It is well worth trying

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!We ordered our food, sat outside, got our drinks, and then waited....and waited....in fact we waited 45 minutes with an 18 month old! We asked about our food and they said they were just about to start it. They waited 45 minutes to start fish and chips, a kids burger, and one of their specialty burgers. We never got a heads up. We're here visiting family and they have been waiting for us on the beach! We finally asked for a refund for our food(they said they are short staffed, but they have 2 cooks and 2 people at the front counter and they weren't very busy when we got there). Go to Rocknbeach Family Pub and Grub!!!!**I want to add that I had the same experience here 6 years, but decided to give it another try. I came here super optimistic and left disappointed once again.

I didn't know what to expect with this place. Its outside fits in well with its surroundings in theme and settled feeling. The place is small and clean. prompt polite service and the low and behold the food was delicious. The fries were thick and cooked well, the burger is hand formed and ground and you can tell. Its one of the more quality burgers I have had in awhile.

For a small store, they seem to have all the stuff you end up needing. The folks that run the store know just where to find what you need.

The Mushroom burger was great. I'll be coming back for more. The service was awesome.

We stopped here for lunch after playing at the beach. It was a cool day, so the chowder really hit the spot! We shared 3 orders of fish and chips among 5 of us which was just right after everyone had chowder. The fish was really good! Lightly breaded and cooked just right. The service was take out only (because Covid) but very friendly and cheerful.

Great fish and chips

Sometimes the best places are the one's that don't look so great from the outside. This place is a great example. The ladies here are wonderful and just want to please. The food is awesome. Loved it all. It shows they care about each customer and the quality of what they serve you. The bluecheese bacon burger one of the best anywhere. Thank you ladies. Mother and daughter team.

I like the food and the staff the awesome shakes and the variety of Burger's and my favorite it the Mr T Burger's. Every trip to Westport me and my family stop in for some great food and tips on what parts of the docks are the best for crabbing

Burgers are a little overpriced. The varieties are a little on the stoner side. Right up my alley.

Get the Mr T. You will be rewarded for being daring. And the milkshakes... wow.Decor just makes it that much sweeter.Will definitely stop here again the next time we're in Westport.

Best quick stop for a great burger and fries!!

If you're looking for a solid breakfast at a "greasy spoon" style place, look no further. We got good, friendly service and a good breakfast. Not so much for the vegan crowd, but I'd you're looking for diner food, you won't be disappointed. Great for the kids, too.

Great seafood! I had the salmon burger and it was deliciousness on a bun🤭 The salmon patty wasn't dry at all so it made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

We stopped in to get ice cream 8-12-19 around 3 pm. The cook who is located less than 10 feet from the counter where you place orders was very foul mouthed. I was shocked by his language and lack of consideration to the customers. It wasn't just a slip of one word it was a tirade of swear words in a very loud voice. The female at the counter saw me looking at him and finally turned around and said "hey guys". There were 3 in my group and about 5 other customers seated in side. We won't be back and I won't recommend the food. I was not impressed by the appearance of the staff, their customer service or lack of basic manners. First impressions are lasting.

Best burgers in town, I strongly suggest the Mr. T burger

I think this is probably my favorite burger place. But the chickens strips my son got were amazing. He's 16 months, he doesn't mind if I eat one.... anyway, I am pretty sure they bread them themselves. Go, order anything, it's all amazing. Grab a milkshake on the way out because yum!!!

Now I always get the 60% steak to 40% bacon burgers, ( that they grind right there)And Great fries with an espresso milk shake .

Pretty decent food, a bit pricey but guess that's what you get for the location.

Best breakfast we've had in Westport. I wish we had tried it sooner. Staff is extremely friendly. Kids loved the blueberry pancakes and all the Marvel and Star Wars decor. Great prices too. We will be back soon!

Best burgers in Westport! No frills diner, nice employees, excellent cook. Gets busy on weekends so be patient, but the crew works their butts off to get your grub out in a timely manner!
